Known as the Little Film Society, it will screen films in a miniature theatre in Armagh Street. The Society hopes to show films from all countries, and last evening its programme included a French film Olivia directed by Jacqueline Audry and made from a script written by her sister, the famous novelist Colette. The name 'Little Film Society' is said to have been taken from the size of the venue, and on a poster outlining the history of the Society it is stated that Ngaio Marsh came up with the name. |
